Poetry

Harry Maslan

I went to the bars you said i might enjoy

Myself in

The walls were lined with faces i can’t

Recognise

And in the bathroom all the boys

Line up to write their names

Out late tonight, i bite the glass

I’ll hold a candle over to

The dimly lit corner that you

Met with sensation

A peculiar reaction, one rather vulgar

The heart subsides, if only for a night
