simple plating

not the most striking

a purple bowl overweight

with rice that smells of home

flipped onto a plate

left in a perfect dome

chicken roasted or steamed

then chopped brutally

with insides cleaned

bones cracked thoroughly

what makes it complete

is the bright orange sauce

tongue numbing heat

eaten at all costs

I like my chicken roasted

You like yours steamed

We can never agree

on anything but chilli
